FAQs for Planners

Q1. Why should I work with heyRed?

A: Click the link above to go to "why heyRED" on this website. However, the short and sweet of it is we are totally and utterly committed to bringing you top-notch, engaging, relevant, and WOW speakers to your event, meeting, or conference who will make you shine as the planner!

Q2. Will I get a better price if I go direct to the speaker?

A: No. The speakers we work with maintain a high degree of fee integrity, which means they charge the same fee to everyone that books them.

Q3. How much do your speakers charge?

A: Our speakers range from $2,500 to $15,000, depending on the scope of their services. We provide keynotes, seminars, break-outs, one-on-one onsite or individual coaching, and a dynamic pre-conference networking event. We have a select group of speakers who are talented and bring one-of-a-kind content and personalized know-how to your event or program, to ensure its success.

Q4. Do I arrange travel for the speaker?

A: We will work with you according to your speakers travel allowance stipulations. We can serve as a liaison between you and the speaker to book travel transportation and lodging needs.

Q5. What if you don't have the speaker I am looking for?

A: With our vast connections and strategic alliances in the speaking industry, you can rest assured that we can recommend a speaker who will "hit it out of the park." Consider us your one-stop shopping agency. We are dedicated to taking the hassle out of reviewing hundreds of speakers.

Q6. Once I select a speaker, what happens next?

A: We negotiate all the details of the speaker's appearance and prepare the agreement for you. As your meeting or event draws near, you'll have an opportunity to complete a pre-program questionnaire which will help to familiarize the speaker with your organization and your event's objectives. We'll arrange a conference call where you can talk with the speaker to provide added insights. We will ensure that multimedia/AV and handouts are prepared in advance as dictated by your event. We will speak to you post-presentation to make sure it was indeed a "WOW" experience.  We want to continue to be a valued speaker's resource to you. That's why we will handle all the little details so you can focus on everything else that needs to happen to make your event a success.

FAQs for Speakers

Q1. What will I need in order to be considered as one of heyRED's speakers?

A: Experience and a track record is essential. In order for us to effectively consider you, you must provide the following:

  • Professional website link
  • Professional head shot
  • Professionally produced video of you "live" in front of an audience as a speaker or trainer
  • Confirmation of being paid as a professional speaker
  • A one-page bio
  • Top three program topics
  • Industries or types of audiences you specialize in

Q2. What are you looking for in the speakers you represent?

A: We are looking for new thinking, unique programs and delivery, and a track record of success as a speaker. Let's face it, to a certain extent, speakers are a dime a dozen. We take pride in bringing speakers who bring real value, with tangible content, and thought leadership that no one else is doing or saying. If you are bringing a fresh perspective, unique message, or a different way of presenting and engaging your audiences, then heyYES, do submit for our consideration.

Q3. Why is video footage important?

A: Seeing is believing. The first thing a planner requests is to see you in action. A video says it all.

Q4. If I already have an established relationship with a specific organization that has booked me before, do they need to arrange future presentations through you once your agency starts representing me?

A: It depends. If you would like us to coordinate the details on your behalf with the organization, negotiate a higher fee and/or expense reimbursement as your agent, then yes, we would be compensated through the agreed-upon commission rate. However, if this is simply a matter of them calling you and rebooking you, then no, we would not need to be involved. The only thing we ask is that you let us know so we can put it on our calendar to avoid double-booking you.
